We love changing people’s lives and helping them quit smoking. We love that the program works so incredibly well & love that we now take this to the rest of the world. We feel very inspired to be in this business and are blessed to be hearing all these amazing stories from our customers.
Tobacco smoking is a major preventable cause of death and disease in Australia, responsible for nearly 20,500 deaths annually (13% of all deaths) and contributing to 8.6% of the nation’s disease burden in 2018. [1]
Smoking increases the risk of numerous health conditions, including heart disease, stroke, cancer, and respiratory illnesses.
Since 1973, various tobacco control measures, such as taxation, advertising restrictions, smoke-free laws, and public education, have been implemented to reduce smoking rates.
These efforts align with the World Health Organization’s 2003 Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.
As a result, the proportion of daily adult smokers in Australia has dropped from 23.8% in 1995 to 10.6% in 2022.
